The Impact of Collaboration

The Impact of Collaboration

21 April 2016

On May 19th, Collaboration NI will host an exciting conference looking at the impact of collaboration in the Northern Ireland Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) Sector. The conference will take place at the Lough Neagh Discovery Centre.

The Trust believe more, and better, collaboration amongst Northern Ireland’s community and voluntary sector organisations, and with others in other sectors, is essential if the on-going needs of individuals and communities are to be better met now and into the future.

By collaboration we mean organisations and individuals working together in pursuit of objectives. There are many ways for organisations to work together which vary in both structure and purpose and which have varying degrees of commitment and levels of formality.

We believe there is a real need for collaboration support to the sector to continue in the future, for others to play a role in developing this and to develop on the excellent work of CollaborationNI thus far.

Since 2011, CollaborationNI have supported a wide range of leaders and organisations who work within the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) sector.

The objective of the conference is to celebrate, reflect and consider the mechanisms needed to encourage stronger partnerships.

The VCSE sector have to deliver more with less, as resources become increasingly scarce, collaborations are part of the solution however, how do we support genuine partnerships?  What does a successful collaboration look like?  What are the opportunities for encouraging cross-sectoral collaborations?

The conference will be an opportunity to engage with a range of speakers, examining the impact of collaboration and the opportunities and challenges we face as we progress.

A full agenda and speaker information will be updated in due course.
