Inspiring Impact Update

Inspiring Impact Update

26 June 2014

Inspiring Impact is a UK wide initiative that aims to change the way the voluntary and community sector thinks about impact by making high quality impact practice the norm by 2022. Aongus O’Keeffe, Inspiring Impact NI Programme Leader, has an important date for your diary and some big news to share.

Grant Applications Window Now Open

Inspiring Impact NI now invites applications from voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations that are committed to supporting a shift in culture towards an impact practice cycle in the sector.

The Building Change Trust will provide selected organisations with a Building Change Award of up to £15,000 to implement a programme of support for impact practice, with their members and client groups using Inspiring Impact resources.

The window for applications is now open and organisations meeting the required eligibility criteria are invited to submit applications by Friday 27 June 2014.

Application forms and criteria are available to download from http://inspiringimpactni.org/.

For more information please contact Aongus O’Keeffe on 028 9024 8005 or email aongus@ceni.org. Successful applicants will be informed in August 2014 with projects commencing in September 2014.

Free Online Tools Now Available

Inspiring Impact has launched two free-to-use online tools to help organisations improve their impact practice. The Measuring Up! tool will help charities find out how well they are assessing the impact of their work on the people they support.

The Inspiring Impact Hub will gather in one place resources charities can use to measure what they do.

Aongus said: "The launch of Measuring Up! and the Inspiring Impact Hub is a huge boost for the VCSE sector in Northern Ireland.

"Organisations often fear impact measurement and see it as confusing and I hope they will find these resources beneficial in helping them to document and demonstrate where their efforts are making a difference to the people they support".
