We believe more, and better, collaboration amongst Northern Ireland’s community and voluntary sector organisations, and with others in other sectors, is essential if the on-going needs of individuals and communities are to be better met now and into the future.

By collaboration we mean organisations and individuals working together in pursuit of objectives. There are many ways for organisations to work together which vary in both structure and purpose and which have varying degrees of commitment and levels of formality.

To support this we developed and funded CollaborationNI - a collaboration itself between NICVA, CO3 and Stellar Leadership - an organisation dedicated to giving support and guidance to groups and organisations wanting to collaborate better and more effectively.

We believe there is a real need for collaboration support to the sector to continue in the future, for others to play a role in developing this and to develop on the excellent work of CollaborationNI thus far.
