Obseravtory publishes research into economic justice

Community Foundation for Northern Ireland’s Observatory has published a series of publications on the theme of economic justice.

A set of ten titles includes ‘Economic Justice and the Community Sector’ and ‘Economic Justice and Young People’; these publications explore issues such as the relationship between economic and social justice, the empowerment of local communities and the importance of developing a progressive political economy in Northern Ireland.

Observatory facilitator Iris Elliott commented: “Economic justice must touch the individual, communities and wider society.

“It must be concerned with respecting the rights of all people to equal participation in the economic resources of a society as well as protecting members of society who receive an inequitable share of these resources.

“Economic justice needs to promote the equitable, progressive redistribution of economic resources within society so that all may realise their fullest potential.”

The publications can be downloaded by visiting the Observtory's site and ordered individually, or as a collection by email
